"Some great discussions of writing and books, which I always enjoy," said Bobby Nash of the event. "The crowd wasn’t quite what we hoped for, but everyone who came to the panels had a good time. The comic panel had the best attendance of the panels I attended."

The Writers for Relief anthology series feature collections of short fiction by top talents in the realms of fantasy and science fiction writing. The first and second volumes have brought help to Hurricane Katrina survivors through the Red Cross and Bay Area Food Bank, respectively. This third volume turns the focus to those who suffered in Oklahoma and features some of today's best known speculative fiction authors including Kevin J. Anderson, Ben Bova, Stephen Euin Cobb, Jason Sandford, Bobby Nash, Todd McCaffrey, A.H. Sturgis, John Hartness, Edmund Schubert, Mike Resnick, Danny Birt, Jaym Gates, Gray Reinhart, Janinie Spendlove, and Eugie Foster.

Writers for Relief Vol. 3 is edited by Davey Beauchamp and Stuart Jaffe.

All proceeds benefit the Oklahoma Tornado Survivors via the American Red Cross.

Writers for Relief Vol. 3 features a story by The Ruby Files co-creator and author, Bobby Nash. Bobby’s story in this anthology is called Magnus: The Apprentice. It tells the tale of young Andrew Kenny when he moves to a new town and discovers that not only was his grandfather a powerful sorcerer and protector of the planet Earth from demonic invasion, but that he shares those same gifts. When the villainous Lord Lucius Malfor threatens, Kenny has to learn how to use his powers to fight off a new invasion.

GEORGIA LITERARY FESTIVAL RELEASES 2013 PANEL SCHEDULE


The Georgia Literary Festival panel schedule has been released. The Ruby Files writers and creators, Bobby Nash and Sean Taylor, will be sitting in on panels during the event, which are listed below. Artist Nik Poliwko is doing an amazing job illustrating stories for the upcoming second volume of Rick Ruby anthology for Airship 27 Productions. Here’s a sneak peek.

The award-winning The Ruby Files returns for a second volume of pulpy detective yarns in 2013 from Airship 27 Productions. The Ruby Files Vol. 2 features stories by Ruby Files creators Sean Taylor and Bobby Nash and authors Alan J. Porter and Ron Fortier. Interior illustrations provided by Nik Poliwko under a cover by Mark Wheatley. Rob Davis returns as book designer.
