SEAN TAYLOR'S WRITERS ROUNDTABLE - CREATING EFFECTIVE STORY BIBLES!

In the latest installment of Sean Taylor's writer's roundtable we’re going to pull out the red letters for bibles… No, not that kind — Story Bibles! Some writers love them, some find themselves stifled by them. Some don’t like having to use them but find them necessary regardless. This week, we talk about series bibles (or story bibles, as I’ve also heard them called). What goes into an effective and efficient story bible? https://www.bloggow.com/b/2021/09/14/creating-effective-story-bibles

Featuring Bobby Nash, Aaron Rosenberg, Andy Fix, Gordon Dymowski, John L. Taylor, John Morgan 'Bat' Neal, Nik Stanosheck, John Pence, and Sean Taylor as the Ever-Lovin' Brown-Eyed Writer Thing!

BOBBY NASH JOINS CONTINUAL'S THE PANEL ROOM EPISODE 81: YOUR WORLD OR MINE!

I was thrilled to join ConTinual: The Con That Never Ends to talk about writing tie-in fiction, licensed, and public domain characters that were not our own creations. It was a fun discussion that I think you will enjoy. I talk a bit about Snow, Domino Lady, Lance Star: Sky Ranger, and The Ruby Files.

The panel is now live at HERE and will be posted on the ConTinual You Tube channel in a few days.

Thanks again to ConTinual for inviting me to be part of this panel and for the amazing panel line-up they publish each week. You should definitely check out their YouTube Channel HERE.

Your World Or Mine Part II
The Panel Room 81 is taking a deeper look at writing in shared universes with R.R. Carr (RachelECarr.com), Alexandra Christian (AlexandraChristian.com), Les Gould (LesGould.com), Rick Gualtieri (RickGualtieri.com), Bobby Nash (BobbyNash.com), and host Jean Marie Ward (JeanMarieWard.com)! What's it like to write in someone else's sandbox, working with licensed properties, and how can you be creative while playing by someone else's rules?

Pulpfest has announced the nominees for the annual Munsey Award. I am thrilled to announce that The Ruby Files publisher, Airship 27 Productions and Snow Shorts author Gary Phillips (Thieves' Alley) have both been nominated along with other notable nominees.

You can read the full list HERE.

Congratulations on the nominations, one and all. Well deserved.

The PulpFest Organizing Committee is pleased to announce that eleven individuals and one organization have been nominated by their peers for the 2021 Munsey Award. This annual award is named after Frank A. Munsey — the man who published the first pulp magazine. It recognizes an individual or organization that has bettered the pulp community, be it through disseminating knowledge about the pulps or through publishing or other efforts to preserve and foster interest in the pulp magazines we all love and enjoy. Congratulations to all of the nominees for this prestigious award presented annually at PulpFest.

The nominees listed below — who received multiple nominations — will be forwarded to a committee made up of all the living Lamont, Munsey, and Rusty Award winners who will select the recipient of this year’s Munsey Award.

The recipient of the 2021 Munsey Award will be announced on Friday, August 20, as part of our evening programming, open to all members of PulpFest 2021 as well as the general public. The award will be presented by William Lampkin, the winner of our 2018 Munsey Award.

If you’d like to nominate a person or organization for our 2022 Munsey Award, you can learn how to do so by clicking here.

See the full list of nominees HERE.
